Goldhanger to Tollesbury
(Our overall day number 4 - Part of The KC3 ECP Leg 36 - Maldon to Salcott)Goldhanger to Tollesbury
27th October 2021 | Miles 10.5 | Elevation gain 10ft
A 10.5 mile walk along the northern shore of the Blackwater Estuary. Starting from the bus stop at Goldhanger, a few hundred yards to the coast path and then along the shoreline towards Tollesbury, and then finally circumnavigating the Tollesbury Wick Nature Reserve to finish the day at Tollesbury Marina.
Getting there and back
We parked in the free car park just up the road from Tollesbury Marina, from where it is a short walk back into Tollesbury to pick up the 95 bus at The Square on the High Street. It is a ten minute ride back to the Chequers Inn at Goldhanger, our finish point the previous day.
Weather conditions
Overcast at first, becoming brighter later. Hardly any wind.
Walking difficulty
Easy - very flat with no elevation and well established paths
