Bognor Regis to Littlehampton
(Our overall day number 23 - Part of The KC3 ECP Leg 22b - Bognor Regis to Shoreham-by-Sea)Bognor Regis to Littlehampton
19th January 2023 | Miles 8.6 | Elevation gain 152ft
An 8.6 mile walk, from Bognor Regis station, along the shoreline, sometimes on the beach at low tide, otherwise on the promenade. The path runs towards Middleton-on-Sea and then continues along the beach before turning inland at the 7 mile mark to follow the River Arun to cross the footbridge into Littlehampton.
Getting there and back
An early start from home, we parked our car at St Martins Car Park (the station car park was closed at the time of our visit) and caught the train from Littlehampton to Bognor Regis. From the station it's a little stroll through the town, via a coffee stop, to the pier where we joined the coast path.
Weather conditions
Crispy cold with lots of sun and freezing temperatures, but fairly light winds.
Walking difficulty
Easy - plenty of beach walking if the tide is lower. There was some mud but solid ice due to the temperature!
