Littlehampton to Worthing
(Our overall day number 24 - Part of The KC3 ECP Leg 22b - Bognor Regis to Shoreham-by-Sea)Littlehampton to Worthing
20th January 2023 | Miles 9.3 | Elevation gain 67ft
A 9.3 mile walk from Littlehampton train station to Worthing. The path heads down the east side of the River Arun to the beach, which is mostly shingle but sandy at low tide and good for walking. From Littlehampton the path runs past Rustington, then Kingston Gorse (nice houses) and on into Worthing. It was Friday afternoon so we braved the cold for an outside refreshment stop in Worthing before we reached our accommodation.
Getting there and back
From our accommodation we walked up to Worthing railway station and caught the train to Littlehampton to pick up the path at last night's finish point. We walked back to our accommodation on the eastern side of Worthing, almost directly on the path.
Weather conditions
Crispy cold and sunny with some icy patches
Walking difficulty
Easy - mainly beach and promenade, and a bit of mud was easy due to the icy conditions
