Eastbourne Pier to St Leonards
(Our overall day number 34 - Part of The KC3 ECP Leg 24a - Eastbourne to Winchelsea Beach)Eastbourne Pier to St Leonards
25th June 2023 | Miles 14.7 | Elevation gain 193ft
A 14.7 mile walk starting at Eastbourne Pier, heading out along the prom and past the marina at Sovereign Harbour, and then a mix of shingle, low tide beach and promenade all the way past Normans Bay, Cooden and Bexhill to finish at St Leonards.
Getting there and back
We travelled from home on the morning of this walk, parking in St Leonards on the front near our accomodation, walked to St Leonards Warrior Square Station, three stops on the train to Eastbourne. From Eastbourne Station, it's around half a mile to the Pier, via coffee shops to fuel up for the day.
Weather conditions
Hot conditions, the temperatures reached 25 degrees, and it was an even hotter day inland.
Walking difficulty
Easy - flat, but hot work on the day we did this
