Erith to The O2
29th October 2023 | Miles 11.2 | Elevation gain 103ft
An industrially scenic 11 mile walk along the south bank of the Thames, taking in Woolwich and the Thames Barrier, and views of the buildings of Canary Wharf. An interesting and atmospheric walk.
Getting there and back
We drove from home, parked at Canary Wharf (beware ££), and caught two trains - Elizabeth Line to Woolwich and then the train to Erith
Weather conditions
Started grey but dry, and then rained on us for the last bit approaching the O2
Walking difficulty
Easy - flat and tarmac paths
