Warsash to Lee-on-the-Solent

24th February 2024 | Miles 6.9 | Elevation gain 126ft

A 6.9 mile walk starting at the Warsash side of the ferry jetty, the first two miles stay close to the coast, before a short inland section round the Solent Breezes Holiday Village, soon rejoining the coast, then along a small cliff top to Hill Head, with a final stretch along the tarmac to finish at Lee-on-the-Solent
Getting there and back
We checked out of our accommodation in Southampton, drove the 30 mins to park at the Monks Hill Car Park in Lee-on-the-Solent. From the Drake Road stop just outside the car park, we took the X5 Solent Rangers bus for the 1hr 5 min ride back to the Warsash. From the Village Centre bus stop in Warsash it is a 5 minute walk down to the ferry jetty to join the start of the coast path.
Weather conditions
Light rain for some parts of the walk. Continuing the theme of the past two days, it was extremely wet and muddy underfoot, and some sections required some wading.
Walking difficulty
Easy - flat and well marked. Bit of mud given the time of year, and there's a bit of shingle near Brownwich
