Kilve Beach to Watchet

28th October 2024 | Miles 6.0 | Elevation gain 638ft

A shorter walk to finish the trip before our drive home. Six miles from Kilve Beach, initially along some cliff tops and then descending onto the beach at St Audrie's Bay for a mile, before a short section back on the cliffs and then a final section into Watchet along the beach at Helwell Bay
Getting there and back
We parked at Kilve Beach car park and walked back to Watchet
Weather conditions
A rainy start, with full waterproofs. Clearing up later.
Walking difficulty
Moderate - no significant overall elevation (638ft), but a couple of steep sections with some uneven or muddy paths

Wet start to the day - at Kilve Beach
If only dogs could read, she wouldn't need to be on the lead!
Tide times turned out ok for us, but this route needs a bit of forward planning to avoid a long wait at high tide

Watchet is peeping out on the left, Minehead in the distance, and Exmoor behind
