A 33 mile stretch along the south eastern shore of The Wash, completely flat and very much isolated. From Hunstanton, there's the opportunity for some great beach walking at all but the highest tide, for the first seven miles. From there beach turns to marsh and the path follows the flood bank through RSPB Snettisham, and then a long stretch around the corner into King's Lynn, to the crossing point of the Rover Great Ouse, and then north up it's western bank, eventually turning west, following vast lengths of flood bank to reach the River Nene for a final three mile stretch down a quiet road into Sutton Bridge.
How we approached this leg
Two long days of 17 and 16 miles respectively - there is no realistic way to shorten either day so it's a case of setting out early and enjoying the views over the vast flat landscape!
Where we stayed
King's Lynn - breaks the stretch into two walks, and good public transport links in either direction
