Whitstable to Kingsferry Bridge (Iwade)
KC3 ECP Leg Number 29
4th July 2025 – 6th July 2025
28.0 official miles
28.0 miles walked
Guest walkers:
Ani The Dog
A 28 mile walk over three days along the North Kent coast, heading west from Whitstable, alongside the beach, through Seasalter and then becoming more marshy alongside The Swale which runs between the mainland and the Isle of Sheppey. An inland diversion to Faversham then round the Ham Marshes, before some great walking along the shore of The Swale, via Conyer. The final section runs from the B2005 bridge over Milton Creek up to finish under the bridge to the Isle of Sheppey, and this is much more industrial.
Day by day
How we approached this leg
We walked this stretch over three relatively shorter days, never longer than 10 miles - Ani The Dog is approaching 14 yrs and the recent weather had been very warm!
Where we stayed
Whitstable, which we loved! With all its very inviting looking pubs, bars, eateries and shops, there was way too much to do in our short stay - we'll just have to go back!
Maybe Someday?
