John & Sarah's Coast Path Walk

We're walking round the England Coast Path - Step By Step!

Our progress to date ...

We took our first steps on the 8th October 2021 at Camber Sands in East Sussex. We've completed 942 miles out of an estimated 2,695, and (so far) gained elevation of 70,084ft!

On this site ...

On this site, you can find and (we hope) follow 86 one day walks on the coast path, nearly all point-to-point, complete with details of how we got there and back - whether by bus, rail, car or cab (all have been used at some point), and links to the route on OS Maps. We've also given our assessment of difficulty and what the weather conditions were when we did it. We've included a few photos to help show what the walk was like, and some links to food and drink options and other useful information.

Pick a walk you like the look of and go and do it - you won't regret it - and when you've done it, message us, either via instagram, or email hello@johnandsarahscoastpathwalk.co.uk to let us know what you thought, and useful updates for the walk, we will add these on this site.

The England Coast Path

A long-distance national trail that, when fully completed, will be the longest managed coastal walking route in the world. Stretching around 2,700 miles, it aims to create a continuous path around the entire coastline of England. The project was launched as part of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009, with Natural England overseeing its development. Currently about two thirds of the path are officially open, the rest is underway - click below to see a summary.
